In the mid-1970s Lynn Beckman recorded for the 'D' Record Label out of Houston, Texas. The label, owned by producer and publisher Harold "Pappy" Daily, was the starting point for many of the giants in country and rock-a-billy music including artists like George Jones, George Strait, Eddie Noack, Floyd Tillman, Willie Nelson, Clay Blaker, and many others. Lynn Beckman had four songs released on the label, and all four are contained in a box set compiled, produced, and manufactured by Bear Family Records from Germany. The Bear Family label purchased all of the music masters to all of the 'D' Records catalog, from the very first release to the very last one in 1980 following Pappy Daily's death when the label quit producing and releasing music. Bear Family released all of the original songs in CD box sets--it took 6 volumes to get all of them out--and Lynn's four songs are included in Volume 6. The songs are "House On A Mountain;" "One Light On In The Neighborhood;" "Wasting Time;" and "I Just Wondered." In addition to the four CDs that are in the box set, there is also a 40-page history book complete with previously unpublished photos of Lynn Beckman and even his studio sessions that produced his releases. In addition, a 1970s portrait of Lynn is included in the book---and even on the front box cover--which also features two other photos of yesteryear's 'D' artists---George Strait and the Ace In The Hole Band and the legendary Floyd Tillman.
